The hub formed at the intersection of four major dream-networks, and in the first seventy-two hours of its existence grew to contain what would have taken a physical city three centuries to accumulate.
Navigation in Metahub operates by intention rather than direction. Citizens do not travel through the city so much as they travel through layers of it — each district occupying the same spatial coordinates but different frequency bands. The Amber Quarter and the Obsidian Levels exist in the same location; reaching one or the other requires tuning your perceptual apparatus to the right signal. New arrivals often spend their first weeks lost in frequencies they cannot yet identify.
The city's most remarkable property is its memory. Metahub retains every interaction that has ever taken place within it, encoded into the architecture itself. Buildings are stratigraphic records; streets remember every foot that has walked them.
