Sorceress
The Knowing
The Sorceress does not perform magic — she reveals what was always there. The transformation of base metal into gold is not chemistry but perception: she has learned to see the gold already present in the lead, and once seen it cannot be unseen. Reality reorganizes itself around accurate perception.
The Wheel and the Wand
The wheel of fate is not spun by gods — it is maintained by a lineage of women who inherited the task from their predecessors, who inherited it from theirs, going back to a first Sorceress who was not a person but a principle. The wand is not a tool of power but a tuning fork, used to find the frequency at which reality is willing to change.
The Price
Every true working of the Sorceress costs something real. Not blood or sacrifice in the theatrical sense — but attention, comfort, certainty. The deeper the transformation she initiates, the more she must release her attachment to the world as she found it. This is not a warning. It is the mechanism.
